Replacement Windows, Installed the Right Way

Quieter rooms, fewer drafts and windows that open with one hand. We help you pick the right product and install it so it performs for years.

Window Replacement by RemodelPro

A new window is only as good as its installation. Even a premium unit will leak air and water if it's set out of square, left without proper flashing or stuffed with the wrong insulation. That's why we put as much care into the install as we do into helping you choose the window itself.

We offer two main approaches. Insert (or pocket) replacement fits a new window inside your existing frame, which keeps interior trim intact and is quick and tidy when the old frame is solid. Full-frame replacement removes everything down to the rough opening, which lets us inspect and repair hidden damage, add proper flashing and often gain a little more glass area. We'll recommend the method that fits the condition of your home, not the one that's fastest for us.

Our crews have been installing windows since 1995. We work from leading manufacturers' product lines in vinyl, wood, vinyl-clad, fiberglass and composite, and we stand behind our installation with our workmanship warranty.

What You Get With a RemodelPro Replacement

Better Comfort

Multi-pane, low-E glass and tight seals cut down on drafts and cold spots near windows.

Less Outside Noise

Modern insulated glass noticeably softens traffic, lawn mowers and neighborhood noise.

Easy Operation

Sashes that glide, tilt in for cleaning and lock securely without a struggle.

Proper Flashing

We integrate flashing with your siding and house wrap so water is directed away from the opening.

Style to Match

Choose frame colors, grille patterns and hardware finishes that suit your home's character.

Warranty Protection

Manufacturer product coverage plus our workmanship warranty on the install.

Replacement Window Materials

Each frame material has strengths. We'll help you weigh appearance, upkeep and budget.

Vinyl

Low-maintenance, budget-friendly and energy-efficient; never needs painting.

Wood

Classic warmth and a traditional look, ideal for historic homes; needs periodic painting or staining.

Vinyl-Clad or Aluminum-Clad Wood

Wood on the inside for beauty, a protective exterior shell for low upkeep.

Fiberglass

Very strong and stable through temperature swings, with slim frames and paintable surfaces.

Composite

Blends wood fibers and polymers for a wood-like look with improved rot and moisture resistance.

How We Replace a Window

Every job follows the same careful sequence, whether we're doing one window or thirty.

  • Protect floors and furnishings and set up a clean work area
  • Remove the old sash and, for full-frame jobs, the old frame
  • Inspect the opening and repair any rotted sill or framing
  • Install sill pan or flashing to manage water at the bottom of the opening
  • Set the new window level, plumb and square, then fasten per manufacturer instructions
  • Fill gaps with low-expansion foam and seal the exterior
  • Finish interior and exterior trim, test operation and clean up

Glass Options Worth Knowing About

The glass package makes a big difference in comfort. Double-pane glass is the standard for most homes, while triple-pane adds insulation and sound control in colder climates or noisy areas. Low-E coatings reflect heat to help keep warmth in during winter and out during summer, and gas fills between the panes add a bit more insulating value. Tempered or laminated glass is used where safety codes require it, such as near doors, tubs and floors, and can be chosen anywhere for added strength.

Signs It's Time to Replace Your Windows

  • Single-pane glass or old aluminum frames
  • Several windows with fogged or failed seals
  • Rot that goes beyond the surface of sills and frames
  • Windows painted or swollen shut
  • Frost or heavy condensation on the inside in winter
  • Faded floors and furniture from unfiltered sun
  • Broken balances or hardware that's no longer available

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between insert and full-frame replacement?
Insert replacement sets a new window inside your existing frame, which is faster and preserves interior trim, but slightly reduces glass area. Full-frame replacement removes the old frame entirely, so we can fix hidden damage and flash the opening properly. We recommend the method based on the condition of your existing frames.
Will replacing windows damage my walls or siding?
Insert installs usually don't disturb walls or siding at all. Full-frame installs may require removing and replacing exterior trim and sometimes a small strip of siding, which we restore as part of the job. We'll explain exactly what to expect before we start.
How long do replacement windows take to arrive?
Because most replacement windows are built to your exact measurements, lead times commonly run a few weeks, and can be longer for specialty shapes or colors. We'll give you an estimated delivery window when you order and keep you updated.
Do I need to be home during installation?
It helps to have someone home at the start and end of the day so we can review the plan and do a final walk-through. Many homeowners go about their day while we work. We just need clear access to each window inside and out.
What should I do to prepare for installation day?
Remove curtains, blinds and anything on sills, and move furniture a few feet away from the windows being replaced. Take down fragile wall decor near the windows. Our crew will lay drop cloths and handle the rest.
