Siding Repair That Fixes the Cause, Not Just the Symptom

Loose panels, storm damage, rot and leaks repaired quickly, with careful matching so the fix blends in.

Siding Repair by RemodelPro

Not every siding problem calls for a new exterior. A panel blown off in a windstorm, a cracked board from a stray ball, or a soft section beneath a leaky gutter can often be repaired in a day for a fraction of the cost of replacement.

The key is finding out why the damage happened. Rotted siding near the ground may point to poor clearance or splash-back. Repeated damage under a roof edge often means a gutter or flashing problem. We trace the cause so your repair lasts.

We also take matching seriously. We'll look for the same profile and color, salvage pieces from less visible areas when it makes sense, and be upfront with you if an exact match isn't possible.

Common siding repairs we handle

Storm and wind damage

Reattaching or replacing panels that have been loosened, torn off or punctured by debris.

Cracks and holes

Replacing individual cracked or broken boards and panels without disturbing the surrounding wall.

Rot and moisture damage

Cutting out rotted wood siding and trim, repairing sheathing, and correcting the water source.

Pest damage

Repairing holes from woodpeckers, carpenter bees and rodents, and sealing entry points.

Flashing and caulk failures

Reflashing windows, doors, decks and roof-to-wall joints where water is getting behind the siding.

Heat and melt damage

Replacing vinyl warped by grills or reflected sunlight from nearby windows.

Repair or replace?

We'll give you a straight answer. Repair makes sense when damage is limited to a small area, the rest of the siding is sound, and matching material is available. Replacement is usually wiser when problems are spread across several walls, the siding is brittle or past its expected life, or you're repairing the same spots year after year.

If you're on the fence, we can repair the urgent issue now and give you a separate estimate for replacement so you can plan ahead.

Storm damage and insurance

If a storm damaged your siding, document it with photos as soon as it's safe and contact your insurance company. We can inspect the damage, provide a detailed written assessment, and make temporary repairs to prevent further water entry while your claim is processed.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a siding repair take?
Most repairs are completed in a single day. Larger repairs involving sheathing or flashing may take two to three days. Material availability for less common profiles can affect scheduling.
Can you match my existing siding?
Often, yes. We identify the profile and color and source matching material where possible. Faded siding can look slightly different from new pieces, so we sometimes swap in pieces from a less visible wall and put the new material there.
Can you repair siding in the winter?
Yes, though some materials need extra care in the cold. Vinyl becomes more brittle in low temperatures, and certain caulks and paints need minimum temperatures to cure, so we plan accordingly.
Should I fix a small crack myself?
Sealing a tiny crack temporarily is fine, but a crack or hole lets water reach the sheathing. A professional repair replaces the damaged piece and checks for moisture behind it.
Do you repair siding you didn't install?
Yes. We repair all common siding types regardless of who installed them.
