Custom Decks Built for How You Live Outdoors

From a cozy grilling deck to a multi-level entertaining space, we design and build decks that are safe, beautiful and made to last.

Decks by RemodelPro

A deck turns your backyard into living space: a place for morning coffee, family dinners, and evenings with friends. The best decks feel like a natural extension of the house, with easy flow from the kitchen or living room, enough room for the furniture you actually use, and a layout that takes advantage of sun, shade and views.

What you don't see matters just as much. The ledger connection to your house, the footings, the framing, the fasteners and the flashing determine whether a deck stays safe and solid for decades. We build our decks with careful attention to the structure first and the finishes second.

RemodelPro builds decks in composite and natural wood, with railing, stair and lighting options to match. Every project starts with a free, no-pressure design consultation.

Why build your deck with RemodelPro

Thoughtful design

We plan size, shape, stairs and traffic flow around how you'll actually use the space.

Structure first

Properly sized footings, framing and hardware, with careful ledger flashing at the house.

Composite or wood

Low-maintenance composite boards or the natural beauty of real wood.

Railings and columns

Railing styles from classic to modern, plus wrapped columns for covered areas.

Permits handled

Where permits are required, we handle applications and inspections.

Matches your exterior

We coordinate deck colors and details with your siding, trim and doors.

Planning your deck

A few questions help shape a great design: How many people do you usually host? Will you grill, dine, lounge, or all three? Do you need shade? How does the sun move across your yard? Where do the kids and pets go? We'll walk the space with you and sketch options before anything is finalized.

  • Allow room for furniture plus walkways around it
  • Keep grills away from siding and windows
  • Consider stair placement relative to the yard and garden
  • Plan for lighting, outlets and privacy screening early

Signs your existing deck needs replacing

  • Soft, spongy or cracked deck boards
  • Loose or wobbly railings
  • Rot at posts, beams or where the deck meets the house
  • Rusted or corroded nails, screws and connectors
  • Deck that sways or bounces when walked on
  • Missing or failed flashing at the ledger board
  • Stairs that feel loose or uneven

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to build a deck?
Many decks are built in one to two weeks once permits are approved. Larger or multi-level decks, covered areas and complex railings take longer.
Do I need a permit for a deck?
Most municipalities require permits for attached or raised decks. We handle the permit process and schedule required inspections.
Composite or wood: which is better?
Composite costs more upfront but needs far less maintenance. Wood is less expensive initially and has a natural look but needs regular cleaning and sealing. We can compare both for your project.
Can you reuse my existing deck frame?
Sometimes. If the framing, footings and ledger are sound and meet current requirements, we may be able to resurface. We'll inspect it carefully before recommending that.
Do you build covered decks or porches?
We build decks with railings, stairs and wrapped columns, and can discuss covered areas during your consultation.
