New Doors That Welcome Guests and Keep Weather Out

Entry, patio, storm, French and sliding doors, professionally installed for security, efficiency and everyday ease.

Doors by RemodelPro

Your doors get more use than almost anything else in the house. They're opened dozens of times a day, slammed by kids and wind, and exposed to sun, rain and temperature swings. Over time, that wear shows up as drafts, sticking, rattling locks and faded finishes.

RemodelPro Contracting installs exterior doors of all kinds, from statement front entries to wide patio doors and protective storm doors. We replace the door and frame as a complete, pre-hung unit whenever possible, which gives a tighter fit and better seal than hanging a new slab in an old frame. Every door is set plumb and square, shimmed solidly at the hinges and lock, flashed and sealed at the sill, and adjusted so it closes easily and latches every time.

Whether you're refreshing curb appeal, improving security or opening a room to the backyard, we'll help you find the right door and install it with care.

Choosing a Door Material

Steel doors are strong, secure and budget-friendly, though they can dent and should be kept painted to prevent rust. Fiberglass doors resist dents, rot and warping, insulate well and can mimic the grain of real wood, making them a popular all-around choice. Wood doors offer unmatched natural beauty and weight, but need regular refinishing and do best under a covered porch. For patio openings, vinyl, fiberglass and clad-wood frames are the most common.

Signs It's Time for a New Door

  • Light or drafts visible around the edges when the door is closed
  • A door that sticks, drags or won't latch without a push
  • Soft or rotted wood at the bottom of the frame or threshold
  • Dented, warped or cracked door panels
  • Fogged or cracked glass in door panels or sidelites
  • Locks that are worn, loose or hard to turn
  • Faded or peeling finish that no longer cleans up

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to replace an exterior door?
Most single-door replacements are completed in one day, often in just a few hours. Doors with sidelites, transoms or wide patio units may take a bit longer, especially if we find damaged framing or subfloor that needs repair.
Should I replace just the door slab or the whole unit?
In most cases we recommend a complete pre-hung unit, which includes a new frame, threshold and weatherstripping that are made to work together. Replacing only the slab can make sense if the existing frame is in excellent shape and square, but the seal is rarely as good.
Will a new door help with energy efficiency?
Yes, an old door with worn seals can let in a surprising amount of air. A new insulated door with fresh weatherstripping and an adjustable threshold can make the entry area more comfortable and reduce drafts.
Can you match my new door to my existing hardware?
We can often work with your existing hardware or match its finish, though many homeowners take the opportunity to upgrade to a new lockset or smart lock. We'll make sure the door is prepared for whatever hardware you choose.
Do you offer financing on door projects?
Yes. Financing is available for qualified homeowners, and we're happy to walk you through the options during your free estimate.
